This page explains the limits of what ToolUniverse’s tools can promise you. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which sets out the legal terms in full.

Tool output is a convenience, not a guarantee

Every tool on ToolUniverse — the JSON Toolkit, Base64 Encoder and Decoder, JWT Decoder, Regex Tester, and YAML Toolkit — is built to be accurate for the standard formats it targets. That said, no automated tool is infallible against every malformed input, edge case, or future change to a specification. Before relying on output from any tool in a production system, verify it independently, especially where correctness matters for security or financial outcomes.

The JWT Decoder does not verify signatures

The JWT Decoder reads and displays the header and payload of a JSON Web Token so you can inspect its claims — it does not verify the token’s cryptographic signature, and it is not a substitute for server-side signature verification. A JWT’s payload is only trustworthy once its signature has been verified against the correct key. Never treat a decoded payload as authenticated data on its own.

No storage means no recovery

Because every tool processes data entirely in your browser and never sends it to a server, we have no way to retrieve, restore, or recover anything you paste into a tool. If you close the tab before copying or downloading your result, that data is gone, and we cannot help you get it back.

Pages on ToolUniverse may contain links to third-party sites, and may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or other ad networks. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or advertiser. Visiting a linked site or interacting with an ad is at your own discretion and risk.

No professional advice

Nothing on ToolUniverse constitutes legal, security, or professional advice. Use of any tool’s output in a regulated, security-sensitive, or safety-critical context should be reviewed by a qualified professional before you rely on it.
