Terms of Service
Last updated: September 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ToolUniverse (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. The Service
ToolUniverse provides free, browser-based developer utilities — including a JSON formatter, Base64 encoder/decoder, JWT decoder, regex tester, and YAML toolkit — accessible without registration. Processing for every tool happens client-side, in your browser; we do not require you to create an account to use any tool.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process, store, or transmit unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
- Attempt to disrupt the Service, including through excessive automated requests, scraping, or attempts to bypass rate limits or security controls.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service as your own product without permission.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.
3. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Tool output (formatted JSON, decoded tokens, regex matches, converted values, and so on) is provided for convenience — you are responsible for independently verifying results before relying on them in production systems, especially where security or correctness is critical (for example, JWT signature verification is a security-sensitive operation you should also validate server-side).
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToolUniverse and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
5. Advertising
The Service may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks to support the cost of running ToolUniverse free of charge. We do not control the specific content of third-party ads. See our Privacy Policy for details on how advertising cookies are used.
6. Availability and changes
We may add, modify, or remove tools, and may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time without prior notice. We are not obligated to maintain backward compatibility for any tool’s behavior, though we aim to avoid breaking changes wherever practical.
7. Intellectual property
The ToolUniverse name, logo, design, and underlying source code are the property of the Service’s operator unless otherwise noted. You retain all rights to any data or content you process through a tool — we never claim ownership over it, and as described in our Privacy Policy, we never receive a copy of it in the first place.
8. Termination
We may restrict or terminate access to the Service for any user found to be in violation of these Terms, without notice, to the extent permitted by law.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
